Carved from soapstone in Western Kenya, these fair trade elephants are like none found in nature but seeing one of these with its brilliant colours and whimsical shape can surely act as a close substitute to seeing one in the wild.
The Soapstone is carved by a small group of artists who live in the rural village of Tabaka, Kenya, the heart of soapstone crafts. Soapstone gives an incredible smooth and heavy feel when you hold it. Every sculpture is made completely by hand so no two are exactly alike. A great gift for someone who appreciates people, elephants, or just a fan of Fair Trade.
